How to get to Dahab?

The easiest way to get here is to book a package tour to Dahab through a travel agency. You can also try to find a direct flight to Sharm el Sheikh (only 85 km from Dahab). There are many flights to Sharm from Great Britain (London),  Germany (Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, etc.) or Italy (Roma, Milan, Bologne) and other city like Zurich, Amsterdam, Moscow. The other possibility is to fly to Cairo, Hurghada or Eilat (Israel), and from there you can easily reach Dahab by air, bus or boat.
For those who enjoy an adventure, you can travel from Europe through Turkey, Syria and Israel, making your way down to Eilat and across the border to the Sinai. Or you could travel directly across the Mediterranean by ferry from Greece to Tel Aviv. These more timeous expeditions will allow you to see many sights and cultures, finally reaching the traveler's Mecca in Dahab.

From Cairo to Dahab

Taxi
For people traveling alone, a taxi can be rented in Cairo or at the airport to take you directly to Dahab for approx. 100,-USD (Please remember to pay only once you have arrived in Dahab)

Bus
There are 5 buses daily from Cairo to Dahab run by East Delta Travel and leave from Abbassyia Station. You can reach the Abbassyia Station from the airport or city center by taxi (25-30 EGP) or public bus (0.5 EGP). Air-conditioned buses to Dahab leave at 8:30, 13:00, 17:00, 19:00 and 23:00 h. for 55-75 EGP. The journey takes 9 hours. The bus will drop you off in Dahab City where you can catch a taxi or pickup to Dahab-Masbet or your hotel for 2 EGP.

From Luxor - Hurghada to Dahab

Bus
There is one bus daily from Luxor via Suez and Sharm directly to Dahab. It takes 12 hours for about 90 EGP. Leaving from Luxor around 7:00 PM (100-120 EGP), from Hurghada 10:00 PM (80 EGP) to be in Dahab next day around 9:00 AM. Departure back from Dahab to Luxor is at 4:00 PM.

Hurghada - Sharm el Sheikh - Dahab

Boat-ferry
There are nowadays two speed ferry: M/V Eid Travel and M/V Sea Jet. Both ferry are usually leaving Hurghada in the morning, coming back from Sharm in the evening. It takes 1,5 hour and ticket costs 30,- USD. The time schedule is changing according to season.

From Sharm el Sheikh to Dahab

Transport to Dahab can be found at both the harbor and airport in Sharm. You can take a taxi (150 EGP) or bus (15-20 EGP) or we can arrange for you transportation with our minibus.

From Eilat

From the Eilat airport to the border there is a public bus for 6 NIS, taxi 25 NIS. The border to Taba needs to be crossed by foot. An exit fee of 65 NIS (22 USD) needs to be paid at the Israeli border. On the Egyption Immigration Office you can get visa for Sinai (not for all Egypt). Taba`s bus station is about 500 m from the border. You can wait for a public bus to Dahab (25-30 EGP) or you can share a taxi for a total price 180-200 EGP or minibus for 300-350 EGP. Leaving Taba you have to pay some Egyptian entry fee 25 EGP.
